A meditative passion.

The term Komorebi (木漏れ日 in kanji), pronounced ko-mo-re-bi, is a Japanese term derived from three kanji characters: ‘tree’ (ko), ‘to creep’ (mo), and ‘sunlight’ (rebi).

It refers to the mesmeric effect created when sunlight filters through the leaves of trees, casting dappled patterns of light and shadow on the ground, and describes the feeling I want to share with viewers.

I believe that the photographic process cultivates an understanding of the interconnectedness and interdependence of all elements of existence and ultimately informs ethical living, mindfulness and compassion.
